Technical Data

Types of Wood
domestic spruce
Quality class S10 to DIN 4074-1

Surface Quality
Visual quality:
Underside: Visible
Top side: Non visible
Industrial quality:
Underside: Non visible
Top side: Non visible
Light-coloured glued joints (melamine resin gluing)
Small shrinkage cracks may arise due to the natural and thus unavoidable shrinkage and swelling behaviour of the timber depending on the ambient conditions . It is recommended that coatings should not be applied until the equilibrium moisture content has been reached.

Lamella Thicknesses
The Profidecke element is made of glulam timber of strength class BS11 with a lamella thickness of 40 mm

Moisture content

Approx. 10 to 12% ± 2% on delivery

Tolerance
Thickness: ± 1 mm
Width: ± 1 mm
Length: ± 3 mm

    Element Dimensions
Thicknesses:
80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200, 220 and 240 mm

Lengths: Up to 18 m
Widths: Standard width 640 mm
Covered dimension 625 mm
Calculated dimension 640 mm
    Longitudinal joints
The longitudinal joints are executed as double tongue and groove

Longitudinal joints with rebate (only Reuthe factory)
Factory produced rebate 20 x 45 mm possible at additional cost (above 100 mm thickness)
The engineered wood strip made from K1multiplan for joining the individual elements can also be delivered on request. Assembly by the client.

Engineered wood board (K1multiplan) nailed on by the client
    Gluing
Waterproof glues/adhesives approved by the building authorities in accordance with EN 386 and DIN 1052, licensed for interiors and exteriors

Edge Design
Approx. 3 mm chamfer per element on the underside
Top side sharp edged

Shrinkage and Swelling Behaviour
Moisture content approx. 10 to 12 % ± 2 % on delivery
Shrinkage and swelling dimensions per 1% of change in moisture of timber:
Length:
Radial:
Tangential:
0.01 – 0.02%
0.19 %
0.34 %
An equilibrium moisture content of approx. 9% is to be anticipated in closed, normally ventilated rooms
The shrinkage and swelling behaviour of the Profidecke must be taken into account in all details of the design (joint with wall, etc.)

Properties and Measured Values
Density:
approx. 450 kg/m3
? Thermal conductivity:
λR = 0,13 W/m K
Diffusion resistance
µ = 20 to 40
?Equivalent air space thickness
sd = µ x element thickness

Behaviour in Fire
The Profidecke achieves fire resistance class F 30 B to F 60 B with appropriate floor construction.

Noise Reduction Values
See "Constructions" Data Sheet
    Plate formation
Strip of engineered wood (K1mulitplan) nailed on by the customer connect the individual elements into one overall plate
Attention must be paid to the formation of tension and compression straps within the ceiling plate

Permissible Stresses
See DIN 1052-1/A1: 2004-12

Emission Class
The Profidecke clearly falls below the limit values of emission class E1 (= 0.1 ppm HCHO).
    Minimum order quantity
A minimum order quantity of 60 m2 is required due to the Profidecke being made on a commission basis.
